Dimitrios Stimoniaris
Dimitrios Stimoniaris was born in Kozani, Greece, in 1964.
i-a) Personal Studies
He received:
1. The Dipl.-Eng. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1989.
2. The Master degreee from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 2005. Theses title: Renewable Technologies integration in the grid.
3. The Ph.D. degree from the School of Electical and Computer Engineering of the National Technica University of Athens in 2016.
i-b) Working experience
He has a 20 year experience as supervisor electrical engineer and technical consultant at industrial and residential installations in the prefecture of Western Macedonia, Greece, owning and managing a technical studies and applications bureau since 1992.
i-c) Teaching experience
Since 2001 he belongs to the teaching staff of the dept of Electrical and Computer Engineering, at the Technological Institute of Western Macedonia, Greece, where he served as a Visiting Professor of Technolgical Applications and since 2011 as a regular Professor of Technological Applications. His special interests include renewable energy resources, microgrids and smart grids.
i-d) Administrative experience
He has gained significant experience serving in the following administrative positions:
1. Since 2010, he is Vice-President of Thessaloniki's Integrated Transport Authority Board (http://www.thita.gov.gr/en).
2. Since 2007 he is member of the Technical Studies and Constructions Authority Board of Kozani Municipality.
3. Since 2010 he is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece/Dept of Western Macedonia Board.
