Crocodile 2 is one of the four EU projects that aim in implementing the Directive on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Public authorities, road managing authorities, traffic information suppliers are cooperating in order to coordinate static and dynamic information exchange of high quality. Partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia are cooperating in order to improve cross-border traffic and transportation conditions, implementing harmonized ITS applications. All the above create the “Crocodile corridor”.
The EU directive No 886/2013 is addressed as well as the dynamic information exchange of users of Safe And Secure Truck Parking Areas (SSTPAs).
The TEIWM and the University of Patras have as main task the implementation of dynamic information supply to users of SSTPAs.
